This is a mobile tool, a hardware device containing a linux server with http interface that allows the simple and intuitive integration of company email applications with text messaging through the GSM network. SmsGatewayEmail is able to receive and resend text messages from the GSM network and to interact directly with the email server.

The only prerequisite for the use of this device is a SIM card able to send and receive text messages.

In receive mode, SmsGatewayEmail receives SMS messages to the SIM card in the internal modem and resends the content via SMTP in the form of an email to a predefined address, with the facility to send a blind copy to a second recipient.
The device manages authenticated SMTP.

In transmission mode, SmsGatewayEmail checks the email address on the mail server, and for each email received by the server, sends the content via POP3 and in the form of a text message to the predefined recipient. The usual 160-character limit for text messages is maintained within SmsGatewayEmail.
