This is a hardware device containing a linux server with http interface that allows you to send text messages to recipients with mobile devices that use GSM technology. This is done simply and intuitively within a company network, through the integration of web applications and web servers. The device is able to both send and receive messages through an html interface in a browser, and the only prerequisite for its use is a SIM card capable of sending and receiving text messages. In receive mode, SmsGatewayWeb receives text messages from the SIM card in the internal modem and sends the content to a web server in a simple http transaction. In transmission mode, SmsGatewayWeb behaves like a normal web server with its own IP address and internal CGI. The messages to be distributed are sent by the web application using normal http transactions, and once these are received by SmsGatewayWeb the message is retransmitted to the GSM network using the SIM card. (HTTP is the main method of communication for the distribution of web pages on the Internet). SmsGatewayWeb receives and sends text messages to any web server, regardless of the language used, the http client or the web browser. In this way any website or ASP services developer can integrate his own applications with text messaging by writing a simple script in any programming language (ASP, PHP, PERL, etc.), in Microsoft™, Linux or any other operative system. The device is made up of:
